Heating

Heating that holds when New York winters bite.

Forced air, boilers, hydronic, steam, and radiant. We work on the systems New York actually runs, including the ones built before the war. Diagnostics, repairs, replacements, and tune-ups, year round.

What we work on

Every kind of heat New York buildings still run.

We do not pick easy jobs. Whether the system is a 90+ AFUE condensing furnace from last year or a 1920s single-pipe steam riser, the work is the same: figure out what is actually wrong, show you the options, and execute cleanly.

  • Forced-air furnace diagnostics, repair, and replacement
  • Hot water boiler service, including circulator and zone valve work
  • Single-pipe and two-pipe steam systems, including trap rebuilds
  • Hydronic and radiant floor heating installs and retrofits
  • Combustion analysis, gas pressure tuning, and CO testing on every visit
  • Annual tune-ups timed before the first cold snap

Signs to call

If you see one of these, do not wait for February.

Heating problems compound. The cheap fix in October is the expensive emergency in January.

  • System short cycles, kicking on and off every few minutes
  • Banging or knocking sound in pipes when heat comes up
  • Cold rooms or floors that never reach the thermostat setting
  • Yellow burner flame, soot near the unit, or a sharp smell
  • Pilot or ignition fails repeatedly
  • Gas bill jumped sharply with no change in usage
  • The boiler or furnace is older than 15 years
Our process

How a heating call goes.

Predictable, in writing, no upsell. The visit ends when the heat is on and the paperwork is in your inbox.

  1. Diagnose

Combustion analysis, control board check, and a walk of the distribution. We tell you what is wrong, not just what the code reads.

  2. Quote

Written estimate before any work begins. Repair, replace, or live with it. Your call.

  3. Repair or replace

Drop cloths down, tools out of your way, no shortcuts on safety. Permits pulled when required.

  4. Verify and follow up

System runs through a full cycle on our watch. Photos and notes emailed. We check in a week later.
